Doug James has worked for the Richemont Group since 2000, and has held various responsibilities within the group’s sponsorships, events, and CSR/Foundation platforms. Doug James joined the initial team, which ultimately delivered in inaugural Laureus World Sports Awards and was involved in establishing the current Global/National Foundation Structure. In addition to this, Doug has been involved in setting up other charitable entities and has experience governance aspects of charities. Prior to joining Laureus/Richemont in London, Doug completed his B.Comm (Honours) in South Africa where he grew up. His involvement is Laureus has been significantly influenced by Nelson Mandela and his sporting legacy. An avid Rugby supporter, Doug lives in London with his wife and their two children.
