Kid Kong Association (KKA) is an amateur boxing program for children & teens 19 and under. The program is designed to provide youth with an exceptional way to manage anger through the competitive sport of boxing. For many young people, the childhood years can be quite challenging, marked by rapid physical and psychological change. One of the many things that children & teens are trying to figure out during this confusing time is how to regulate their emotions. And perhaps the most difficult emotion for a child to control is that of anger. KKA’s hope is to help children & teens develop the essential anger management skills needed to deal with confrontation so that they can become strong, productive, and successful adults. They believe that boxing can provide young people with an outlet to not only express their anger in a safe, productive environment, but it also helps them to learn self-discipline skills.
