2026 Sport for Good Dallas – “Kick-Off” Grants

To celebrate the kick-off of Sport for Good Dallas, our newest Sport for Good City, Laureus USA is announcing a request for proposals for Dallas serving non-profits. These “Kick-Off” Grants are intended to support winter and spring programming and are a bit shorter than the typical Laureus grant. The grant term will be six months, November 2026 – April 2027, with one final report due in May 2027. Grant awards are anticipated to be for $15,000 and $20,000, but all proposals should be for $20,000.

Laureus USA funds sports-based youth development (SBYD) programming. To be considered an SBYD program, primary program objectives must be reached via a clear and direct intersection between sports and/or physical activity and intentional youth outcomes. We fund organizations using sport to create impact in one or more of the following social focus areas: 1) Education, 2) Health and Wellbeing, 3) Gender Equity, 4) Employability, 5) Inclusion, and/or 6) Peacebuilding.

Other organizational eligibility criterion include:

• An active 501(c)3 status and EIN #
• A Child Protection/Safeguarding plan or commitment to develop one within the grant term
• Serving youth or plan to serve youth in the Dallas metro area, with priority given to organizations serving youth in the city of Dallas

We read applications for effort and authenticity, not just grammar, style, or skill in grant-writing. We encourage applications from programs that are serving the hardest to reach populations, including but not limited to system-involved children and youth, those disconnected from school or work, LGBTQ+ youth, and youth with physical and mental difference.
